TUEPAC Network LLC ("TUEPAC", "we") operates a publishing infrastructure platform · a network of independent Black-owned publishers, creators, and businesses across the Southeast United States. We syndicate journalism with attribution, route revenue to its sources, and operate the institutional pipeline around it. We are a for-profit operating company, not a nonprofit.
You may use TUEPAC as a reader without an account. To save articles, follow publishers, subscribe to newsletters, claim a business listing, sponsor a campaign, syndicate a publication, or access the operator console, you need an account. You're responsible for keeping your password and any tokens private. We may pause access if we detect unusual activity, and we'll explain what we paused and how to lift it.
Reader access is free. There is no paywall. We do not sell or share your reading history with advertisers. We do not personalize using third-party data brokers. Membership is voluntary support · you don't lose access if you don't pay.
If you join the network as a publisher, you grant us a license to syndicate your work at the tier you select (link-only, excerpt, full, or commission). You retain ownership and copyright. We attribute every story to you, link to your canonical URL (subject to your contract), and route the publisher share of attributable revenue to your designated account on a monthly schedule. Either party can terminate the pilot agreement with 30 days' notice.
Advertisers and sponsors purchase pre-defined inventory. Creative must be reviewed by editorial before going live. Sponsored content is labeled. We do not sell editorial coverage. You can cancel campaigns mid-flight per your insertion order; refunds are pro-rated.
You may not use TUEPAC to harass, defame, or impersonate. Editorial decisions about what appears on TUEPAC pages rest with our editors. Publishers may request a takedown of their own content within 24 hours. Readers may request corrections on any story.
Every syndicated story includes the publisher's logo, byline, original publication date, and original URL. The canonical URL strategy is set per publisher contract. If you believe a piece on TUEPAC misattributes work or violates rights, email corrections@tuepac.com. We act on legitimate takedown requests within 24 hours.
Publisher payouts run monthly via ACH. Advertiser invoices are Net 30 unless otherwise agreed. Membership is annual or monthly, charged in advance, cancelable anytime. Refunds for membership are pro-rated to the day. Taxes are your responsibility outside our 1099 obligations.
You can close your account anytime from your settings. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, fail payment, or pose a security risk. We'll explain why and what data you can take with you.
The network is provided "as is" without warranty. We don't guarantee uninterrupted service or that all content is error-free. Our maximum liability for any claim is the greater of $100 or what you paid us in the prior 12 months.
Dues. Membership is $25 per year. Dues are dues: they fund the coalition's operations, ventures, and endowment on the published split. Dues are not a donation, not an investment, and not a security. Membership carries no equity, no profit expectation, and no financial return; benefits are member pricing, services, and standing.
Gifts. Any amount above $25, a Patron write-in or a founding gift at checkout, is recorded as a gift, separately from dues. Gift receipts state their tax treatment. Gifts do not buy standing, insignia, or votes.
The ledger. Your member number and record are permanent and append-only: verified actions are added, never edited or removed. Your record is private by default. You may opt in to public visibility, which shows only your number and insignia. Gift amounts, value tracking, and successor information are never public. Insignia are earned through verified actions and cannot be purchased.
Inheritance. You may name a successor for your member number and record. On verified notice, the number and its ledger transfer to the successor. The record is an honor and a history, not a financial instrument; no monetary value transfers with it.
Lapse and cancellation. Cancel anytime; refunds are pro-rated per Section 8. If your membership lapses, your record and number are preserved and resume when you do. Membership numbers are never resold.
We collect the minimum data we need to run the network. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers as an individual profile. You can export, correct, or delete your data at any time from your account.
We use your data to run your account, route your reading to the right publishers (membership share), send the newsletters you asked for, and keep the network operating securely. Aggregate, de-identified data may inform editorial decisions ("our Charlotte readers cared most about civic this month") · never tied to your identity.
You can export all your data as a ZIP from your privacy settings. You can correct any field. You can delete your account, which permanently removes your reading history, follows, and subscriptions (we keep financial records 7 years per IRS rules, with PII redacted). Your member ledger record is preserved per Terms §11 unless you request its removal in writing.
